SCREAMING SIXTIES
Actually the name screaming sixties is given to the Westerly's Wind in the 60deg. south latitude. The relevance of these screaming sixties in my SCRIBLINGS can be understood only after wasting time on the rest 448 words that follows:
The significance of getting 1st in any activity is many folds than getting 2nd and is a worldwide accepted and followed promulgation. As per a famous dialogue is film 3IDIOTS "nobody remembers the person landed 2nd on moon" or thereafter but Neil Armstrong is remembered and is present in every primary school books ," again thinking of persons who are not 1st is a waste of time". So even if there is a difference of a fraction between 1st and 2nd persons there is no change in the above dialogue. The change lies in the world of both the persons and that to; it is directly opposite for the 2nd person. The misery of being 2nd in this world is enormous which can hound you life time and can become a daily nightmare.
This whole thought sprang upon me when I got my 4th semester B.Com. Report-card where my score was 65% but after averaging the "sin" of 1st and 2nd semesters with it ,made it slide down to 58% and my situation was like a famous Hindi dialogue which mean "oh! Almighty let this land tear apart and I be engulfed into it". I was let separated in my class in the 50s group presumed to be losers. I could not take that and my thinking process started and I came across a interesting fact that was Attitude mathematics my thesis on energy's relation with attitude which goes like this -
"To attain the level of positiveness equal to that of one is negative, there is need to apply the double level of positiveness than one is negative"
So I was on with the double level of +ve energy and analyzed the situation that I scored 63 % in the 5th semester and needed 72.23% to make the overall average to 60%.
We had three papers in the 6th semester which comprised of financial management (FM) and a project and its presentation. I analyzed the situation that knew that theory paper would fetch me on an average 67 %, so the project presentation was only hope to be exploited
I had already started to work on the project which was "COST CONTROL AND AIRLINES" from 5th semester and with the 2nd month of 6th semester it was ready to be presented.
I gave my best in its presentation and in the EXAMS.
The results came out, my score was 72% and the average was stuck to 59% which was very disappointing. The project fetched me 92% marks but the FM paper betrayed (57) a less of 10 marks to the 60s. I was scared to become the example for the dialogue of 3idiots. Then heard of a chance for giving a paper in review so I submitted FM paper in review and forgot as there was null probability of increasing marks.
One day I got a call from a friend saying
"YOU HAVE GOT your SCREAMING SIXTY"
